Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure and honour to invite you to attend the 5th International Conference on Structural Integrity and Durability (ICSID 2021), to be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, from 7th to 10th September 2021.

Being globally hit by the COVID19, the ICSID 2021 Conference will be organized in a “Hybrid Mode”, i.e., a combination of on-site and online presentation in order to guarantee the maximum safety and conveniences for participants. The Hybrid event will enable both, in-person attendees and virtual attendees, participation in ICSID 2021. Virtual participants will be able to attend the Conference online via the Zoom platform.

The objective of the ICSID 2021 conference is to bring together scientists and engineers from around the world to discuss how to characterize, analyze, predict and asses the fatigue and fracture of structural materials and components. The ICSID 2021 intends to be a forum for discussion of the present and future trends in experimental, theoretical and applied fracture mechanics, fatigue, structural integrity assessment, failure analysis, and other important topics in the field.

The ICSID 2021 conference will further promote cooperation among scientists and experts from university, industry and government involved in the field of the fatigue and fracture of materials and structures. For graduate students and researchers and engineers from industry a two-day School on fatigue and fracture modelling and analysis will be organized before the Conference, along with a roundtable discussion on the topic how to connect academia and industry.

Besides the excellent technical program, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy their stay in Dubrovnik, one of the most famous Mediterranean cities, world celebrated symbol of historical heritage and beauty, which has found its place in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
